What a great forum, im new to the world of the LS but plan to fit a LS3 into my Ultima GTR and procharge it....... cant wait!!!
Currently i have a 377 cuin sbc fitted but im really keen to learn about the LS so i can do the transplant myself. Sorry if some of the following questions seem a bit dumb but im still learning.
1 i want to fit a crate LS3 as it makes life so much easier .... would you guys recommend a pull out or a crate.
2 im not sure whether to run an aftermarket ECU or use the GM unit.
3 wet or dry pan
4 i know i will only be able to run low boost 6-8psi on a stock motor but 600bhp is plenty in a Ultima 2100lbs!!! If i also increase power over 600bhp i will need to upgrade the trannie (porker G50) which gets mega expensive.
any tips you could give would be much appreciated, the LS is new to us in the UK/Europe so we are a long way behind with the development etc.
