New Here Greetings,
Just introducing my self. I joined this board mainly for the information I could find concerning ls derivative engine swaps. I own an 86 Mustang GT that I am in the beginning stages of swapping a 5.3 liter ls motor out of an 04 silverado pick up that my budy crashed. The initial plan is to switch to the edelbrock carb set up with the ls ignition controller and see what I can do with the stock engine.
My car is mostly stock with some suspension mods like upper and lower control arms and drag shocks. I will be swapping in my Gforce pro shifted t5 behind the engine so I dont think I will be having any issues with the transmission. I plan on using a quicktime motorsports bell housing and and LS style flywheel and clutch set up with the ford 10 spline disk.
Any way this is just and introduction thread. Look foward to learning all about the ls style motors. Ill keep my progress updated as much as possible!
