New Guy LS1 65 GTO Hello everyone, I'm Mike from Western New York. I've had a '65 GTO since 1981, on the road since 1994. Right now it has a 400 Tripower with a Muncie M22.
I recently purchased an '04 GTO LS1 with the T56 tranny and all the computers and fuse box and wiring, so it's time for a change. Plans are to do the swap over next winter and have the car ready for spring and summer 2010. Other the the engine, I am going to change to front disc brakes and also install the seats from the '04 Goat. I am very stoked about this swap and looking forward to the drivability and power of the LS. I've posted a few pics and I'm sure will have some questions and more pics as we get into the project.

No, it's a 1969 400 and the M22 came out of a 1970 car. The car was orginally a four barrel and powerglide car. It had the four speed when I got it in '81. It also had a 12 bolt rear when I got it, so originality is not a concern.
