New guy, owns a miata....
The mods list is rather long for my former Miata, but the important stuff is a Turbonetics t3/t4 turbo, Hydra nemesis ECU, and 292 whp. Here are some pics, feel free to ask any questions about the car...

My current Miata is a 1991 base model that only had 16 thousand miles when I purchased it. It currently has nearly 40k on the odometer. It's been a great little car, but I'm itching for more power! Currently, the only mods done to the car are a shift ****, and an ebay special catback, along with an 8lb flywheel.

This car will be my V8 swap project in the future, I plan on going with an Ls motor, and most likely the V8roadsters swap kit. I plan on accumulating parts over the next year or so, and when I have the car paid off, i'll grab myself a beater and start the swap. It's also possible I might purchase someone elses already swapped car should the opportunity arise, as I don't really have a garage in which to do the swap..
I've always had a soft spot for american muscle, and I'm here to learn as much as I can about the LS platform and from others experiences with it, and I'm looking forward to my stay!

I worked on a 91 Miata in auto shop my senior year. The jack wouldn't fit under the car so me and my friend lifted the front of the car up and another guy put stands under it.
I love the LS motors. Do your research and pay attention to what you are doing and you will build a great motor. What is your goal for the miata?
The main goal is a very nasty street car that will be my daily driver for the most part. I very much enjoyed my previous turbo miata, but it was finicky and a bit high strung for my tastes.
I've priced f-body cars, and corvettes.... I feel like I can build a car that will equal or exceed the performance offered by these platforms (on my budget anyway) by starting out with a cheaper platform and building it to my tastes.

Wow! that will be a very aggressive project to put a V8 in a Miata. Seen lots of retro fits in the RX's. Miatas are fun in any form. I worked at a Mazda Speed dealership when the Speed Miata was made. That was truly a fun little car to drive. - good luck!
My 2000 turbo car weighed in at 2600lbs with me in it and a full tank of gas, my 1991 is a bit lighter, I'd say around the 2500lb mark wet
