Default New Guy Looking at a 1998 Z28
Hey I'm looking at getting into a 1998 Z28. I'm hopefully trading my 99 accord and 1750 for it. It's a 1998 Z28 with a tsp cam, lightly worked heads, and bolt ons. Any thing bad about the 1998's? I know the rod bolts are weak but how bad are they? And anything else to look for?

get it! its fine..i got a 98 t/a 160,000 miles and still run like new..rod bolts are fine u can run a 100 shot all day with it

I have a 1998 LS1 6 speed with 183000 miles original engne/trans and runs and drives great!!!!

going from a honda to a heads/cam ls1 will be a big change in power, but is very fun. You will love it.

Be sure to keep a quarter tank of gas in there at all times. No less.

Fuel pump. Keep gas in there and avoid an expensive problem. Great cars but something simple you can do to prevent an expensive repair. Just a tip

Is a .235/.239 .595/.603 a pretty big cam? Is it still a good dd cam?
