Howdy from texas

whats goin on? picked a 350 as a first engine to build. right now i have a 99 vortech block in the garage that im cleanin up. shootin to get 400-500 hp out of it n/a. cost is not really a problem but im not tryin to blow 10k on an engine. lookin forward to doing alot of research! any helpful starter threads would be great. the engine will be going in a 2001 chevy single cab bodied and juiced (i dont hop my truck i just got sick of airbags)
i want to do a carbureted engine so i can do away with alot of the wiring under the hood.

i was also wondering what category my engine would fall under so i can do some proper searching. right now im in the air about where to look for my build... 350 engine block out of a 99 tahoe.
