Hello,
As the title states I am looking to do a swap in my 99 Miata and plan to go the LSx route. So I thought I would join the one place that I could provide the answers I need as I progress. Currently I ordered the conversion bu am still engine shopping. Currently I am debating whether to build up a cheap low mileage L33 or just purchase a Ls2/T56 complete combo.
My concerns with LS2 is the mileage: As it sits its at 31K. I am a Canadian lad and 31,000 km is nothing but 50K km is no longer low mileage to me. I know these engines work hard and are pushed by those who drive them. What can I expect from a stock LS2 (miles) that I will occasionally beat on? Should this even be a concern? I know a 4 banger with minimal hp will do 200,000 easy but an engine that is meant for performance often has a shorter life. I would appreciate your interpretation.
Cheers
