New and looking for suggestions I dont have a Camaro yet but my friend whats to sell me his. It has 177,xxx but is a Z28, its white with black leather interior, body doesnt have any dents, its a 6 speed with t-tops, has black C5 corvette wheels with new tires. has exhaust, slp intake, ls6 rockers and lifters but one isnt centers so it ticks. He only has 3500 in the car and thats what he will sell it to me for, just wanting to know if this is a good idea and what are some things I should look for when I go to buy it?
You might want to get someone that is familiar with the Ls1 to have a look at it. I've never heard of Ls6 rockers or lifters but I could be wrong. It is very common to hear top end noise in an ls1. How long has your friend owned the car? Have you had a look underneath for any signs of modding IE subframe connectors or evidence of them being welded in. How does the clutch feel and any issue shifting under hard acceleration?
