Default Back from the Darkside

Hey everyone, my names Nick. I'm from PA. Just bought my first LS1 car 2 weeks ago. I signed on this forum years ago when I was trying to do a LS1 swap in my 3rd Gen. I bought an Acura Integra Type R and started taking it the HPDE days, VIR, Summit point, and so on. Basically I lost interest in the Camaro so I sold it. Over the last year or so I say the bug bit again and I started craving more power. As fate would have it the Toyota/Chevy dealer I work at had this '01 SS M6 traded in. I put a for sale sign on the R and 2 weeks later the camaro was in my garage. "I love it when a plan comes together."

Here's the R, great car never gave me any issues and you can beat the hell out of it on the road course. In the right hands they parallel a c5 in the slalum.

The new hotness, nice to have V8 power under the hood again.

As long as you've got the skills you can throw an F body into the curves too. Nice SS...

Welcome back. Very nice. I need one of those grills in a bad way. Does the car have different brakes? And the SS wing?...hard to tell from this shot.

Yeah for sure. I wanted a more challenging vehicle to drive. Its gonna take a some time getting used to the weight difference. There's a local guy the does auto cross in a ls1 ws6 that puts some impressive times out. Granted he's running 17x11's with 315 slicks in a four corners, but to throw a car like this around demands some skills regardless.

I just installed the grill right before the pic was taken. The car had some halo headlights and a spray painted GM grill. I actually had about a grand left from the deal so I purchase a new grill and got some GM headlights off of ebay. It's got cross drilled and slotted rotors with EBC red stuff on front and napa pads out back. I had to get a new P.S. line too cause it was blown out. Its mostly stock, SS spoiler and all. First mod will probably be 4.10 gears. I'm happy with the power...for now...but i want to learn the limits of the car as it is and move into the build progressively.
