Greetings from LS1 land (CA) I picked up a very nice 2001 Z28 last week, this car has 34K miles on it. 
The performance of this car, especially on the twistys, is amazing. The car has a few modifications that produce flat turns at high speed with no body roll.
Tires: F, P265/40/17 W; R, P295/35/18 W
Rims: F, Z06, 17 x 9.5; R, Z06, 18 x 10.5
Springs: Strano Performance (for lowering 2 inches)
Struts: KONI adjustable
Panhard Bar: Large diameter, adjustable, Hotchkis.
Front Strut Tower Brace: Hotchkis.
I plan to continue to modify the Z, and will post new threads when significant performance improvements have been achieved.
PS: I am trying to rotate the picture (-90), but have not had any luck.

FYI Strano springs are rated for a 1.2" drop, not 2" (thats a lot for these cars, they have limited suspension travel as is.
Look into some strano swaybars as well, that will improve your handling even further.

Thanks for the response. By luck I visited a shop where this car was located and liked it from the minute I saw it. Although I would like a '69 Z28 (silver), this one was in my affordability range.

Thanks for the information, as you can tell I am in the learning mode. This setup is very firm. Any suggestions on air pressure. I know the 2001 Z06 at 3115 lbs uses 30 PSI for front and rear. The Z28 at around 3400 lbs with the same tires should use maybe 2 to 4 PSI more.(?) Please feel free to correct my thoughts.

I generally drive on the street with 32psi front, 30psi rear and if you want to autox many bump up to ~40psi all around.
Your koni also are rebound adjustable, so you can adjust ride quality a little bit with that (but mostly handling, grip, stability, balance and feel).
Its also not helping that you have 18" rear wheels, and smaller side walls all around.
Also you can run 275/40 front tires and 315/30 rear (I know you can put 315s on a 10.5" wheel but Im not sure what kind of side wall you need since you are on 18s, you may need to check on this) for all around more grip (and better look IMO.)
Im running 17x9.5 (275/40) and 17x11 (315/35) and love it (although prone to understeer naturally with all the tire out back). Ive also got the Koni/strano setup as well, but I have his swaybars too, and a fays2 watts link. - awesome setup.

I performed a tire pressure test today. I measured/set the pressure in all four tires to 32.5 PSI (cold).
Then I drove the Z 35 miles on the freeway and a few twisty's, stopped and measured the air pressure again (hot). Two of the four tires were approximately 34 lbs, and the other two were approximately 33.5 lbs. So, if the tires were under inflated, and the tires became excessively hot from the friction, I would expect the pressure to increase >6 PSI. Based on the results 32.5 PSI is the correct pressure.
