Hi! After being a honda guy from birth until 21, I am about to become the very proud owner of a 2002 TA convertible.
Looking at this website, and looking back on my life, I feel like an idiot for thinking hondas are good for anything other than being a show car. Why would anyone dump $40k+ to make an 11 second honda that has to be rebuilt once a season and sounds like crap, when you can get an LS1.
I thought I knew a lot about cars, I lurked this board for a good week and realized I don't know ANYTHING about engines.
Valve overlap? Cams? Heads? Stroker? Cutout exhaust? Stall?
I feel like I'm starting from a fresh slate! It's also nice to see that firebirds and the like can actually put power to the ground with an automatic transmission! With Hondas it was always manual or GTFO. I'm reading the numbers some of you get on street tires with an automatic transmission and it'd make any 4 cylinder cry.
The thought of an automatic ANYTHING pushing 400+ horsepower absolutely blows my mind.
I hope to learn a lot from this site in the next several years!
