Greetings, again!
I originally joined this site in 2005 or 2006 when I had my 1988 Monte Carlo SS...had big plans to build it and those cars are still one of my favorite cars ever. My uncle had a new one in 87 in black with the red stripes and I immediately fell in love with the car (I was 12 years old, and that turned me into a musclecar nut!). He got rid of it a year later with only 4,000 miles on it, because he was spending all his time keepin it spotless, and his payment at the time was $450...pretty steep for 1987. Since then he's had 3 Corvette's, a red 1988 with 50k miles, a red 2001 with 15k miles, and now has his current car which he'll have for a long time, a 2001 Light Pewter Metallic convertible with like 63k miles. In 06, I purchased a IBM 2004 GTO, and it was my favorite car I have ever owned to this day, but I went from a truck and the 88 SS, to just a GTO. Needed a truck again cuz they're so handy, so I bought (traded in the GTO) my 2003 Silverado Z71 and I love it and won't be getting rid of it. Since I needed a musclecar too, I purchased my 1989 Mustang LX 5.0 hatch, and am in the process of building it (I know, let the flaming begin ). I love the car and Mustangs in general and plan on keeping it for a long time! When it's done, my next project to park next to it in the garage will be another 87 or 88 SS, a 2004-2006 GTO, or a 98-02 WS6. I'm a fan of many American made muscle cars, and actually even really like the new Challengers and Chargers.
My 2004 GTO is in my avatar, but here's a few pics of the cars I mentioned:
My Silverado Z71:
My uncles current Vette:
My 89 LX 5.0:
Anyways figured I'd check back in and update!
