Hi There Hey everyone, My name is Dan. I found my way here a while back while searching for tips and build threads on LS motors. I have done lots of work on cars for the past several years including many cars (our family drag car) that run in the 9's (best e.t. 9.1 @ 146)
I decided to finally register because my personal DD is a lousy 2003 Blazer Xtreme and it has come time to put other peoples cars aside and build myself something to be proud of!!
So I guess i will be joining the large number of people on this site that have swapped 5.3's into their blazer (Im going with the 5.3 because my dad has one in his DD 2000 Sierra and he has mildly built it and we both love it)
I plan on purchasing a 5.3 long block for about $250 and building it from the bottom up, but I dont know the best parts to use which is why im here. My dads specs arent going to work for my application because his is for towing and I want mine to be a street/strip/sleeper to surprise people with
So any advice or part tips you can give me to get around 450+ hp out of a fully built 5.3 would be greatly appreciated and im sure i will enjoy my time here and be very active!! I already know from observations that this is a great and helpful site!! Thanks, Dan
