Red Head Step Child
I guess i'll be the red head step child here. I own, drive, and love my over priced toyota (lexus) *ducks* I wouldn't say i'm an import guy though. I would consider myself a car guy because I love cars of all shapes, sizes, colors and makes.
I've been lurking here for some time and finally decided to sign up. I do have a reason for coming around beside to get flamed, lol. I currently own a 2002 Lexus IS300 I just purchased a nice used LQ9 for. Right now i'm in training getting ready to ship out to Afghanistan and i'm collecting parts to build a 408 stroker to put into my IS300. I've been doing the homework and as I said lurking around. Figured i'd finally sign up.

Thanks, I hope so. There have been a few guys to do LS1 swaps into the IS300, but haven't seen any using the LQ9 block and or a stroker. I consider myself pretty swift around the garage and do well, but you guys talk a whole different lingo here. Being an import guy its all about intakes, turbo size, and anything turbo related, lol. This making power thing with out FI is new to me, haha.

Once I get a few photos of the motor, motor being tore about, parts coming in, machine work etc.. I will. Since most of the actual engine building I wont be doing myself anyways I.E. machine work for obvious reasons, I will be having my buddies shop build the motor.
