New from Michigan My name is Matt. I've got an LS4 powered 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. Been a member of the Monte Carlo Forum for about eight months now and thought I'd join after seeing a few members over on MCF that are also members here. Have had my '06 for about 16 months now. Prior to the 06 I had my first car, an 03 Monte Carlo SS, for five years.

Thanks man. I'm really not planning anything with the rims anytime soon. I like the SS's factory eighteens so I'm sticking with them. Can't say if I'd ever go with new rims, possibly someday yes. I have thought about red calipers, but I like the look of the all black and I don't know how the red would mess with that.
Yep, starting in 2006 Chevrolet went with the 5.3L LS4 V8 as the standard engine in the Monte SS. The supercharged 3.8L was 2004 and 2005 SS's.
