Well I finally picked up a 98 Z/28 A4 for peanuts. Car has 150k and was well taken care off. I'm the second owner, (car has never been molested still has stock paper air filter in the airbox) The car has the usual F body problems slow window motors, turn signal switch, but that's about it.
Car is very clean coming from the Midwest so it was kinda shocking to me as I expected a rust bucket underneath. I was actually looking for a high mile C5 and this thing popped up, I figured it was worth a look, so for the 3k I paid I still have a good chunk to play with. I think that sums it up in a nut shell, time to get busy ordering some part.....

Yank makes great convertors, and the 3600 is a nice pick.
First mods I would suggest would be Longtubes, exhaust, a lid, ls6 intake, and ported/polished throttle body.

I'm just gonna do everything all at once with some 1 7/8 TSP headers and some ported 799 or 243 heads and a cam, Finally took off the stock 16" and tossed on some chrome Z06 wheels. Car looks so much better.
