i have done a lot of reading o here and like this site! about me i just got a 99 FIREBIRD 3.8 WITH 5 SPEED AND factory limited slip. I already emailed SamStrano for suspention parts. now i just have the standerd stuff but it has headers dont know what kind. so its the cat delite pipe and a cat back exhaust. it does have the factory duel exhaust. the car goes fine for me but just want a bit more punch and for it to handle better

thank you. for me several reasons for the v-6 i have a CDL and had a 03 subaru impreza. needless to say raced it and alot of tickets. i am much older now and dont realy need to show off but enjoy a well handling car that moves good. the ls1 is a very good motor. but stock the ls1 and 231 has only 70 hp diffrence. but i know the ls1 has huge potental. driving wise just kids in mustangs around here and the v-6 with an auto can be smoked easy. as far with the civic ricers well most put intake and muffler. so they gain 5-15 hp but add a lot of weight.

Welcome to the forums! Actually the stock LS1 has 100 more HP. The stock LT1 had 70-80 more HP I believe. Torque figures were much higher too, of course.
