Thanks for the site!
Hi,
I hope to soon be an LS owner. My car is a 1990 Z32 300zx NA. I have rebuilt my stock motor to low compression in preparation for a twin turbo type set up. My goal was to do my own twist on the twin turbo set up as just having the same thing as everyone else really turns me off.
The problem is that the deeper I get, the more I realize that my options are VERY limited - so out with the VG30E (as good as it is!) and in with the LS. Now there is room for options!
I'm looking at the LM7 5.3, both for the reasons of cost, and the potential for forced induction of some type. My main issue is that I'm pretty cheap because I would like to retire someday; hopefully before I croak DIYing as much stuff as I can for my hobbies is how I overcome this I guess. Also, once I get over the initial hump of swapping the LS motor in, things are going to get much cheaper.
Haven't started yet - don't even have the motor, but this is what I am going to do. Wish me luck and thanks.
