Hello To All Since 2002 I have dreamed of owning a vehical with an LS1.
Long has been the wait. I have searched for the perfect f-body at the perfect price for years. Then the moment I had been waiting for suddenly arrived, but in a way I did not expect. A local dealer had a 2002 blk c5 y-body for the right price. From what little I know of the y-bodies they have a lighter-weight body and have a better weight distribution. So I took it to a local specialty shop and paid them to do the full inspection. Everything came out thumbs up, so I pulled the trigger and bought the car.
After driving the car for a little over a week its become clear that the car is sound and solid but not perfect. Especially the trans with 87K on it, which I think needs some attention down the road.
But for now I just wanted to say hi, and I look forward to annoying the heck out of you all with my gizillion questions. But I do so as a humble cup that presents itself empty and ready to be filled with knowledge.
