Another FNG...lol Well figured I'd introduce myself.

About a month ago Snagged a 01SS M6, so the lady could go to the track with me. Car spent most of its life in the garage 3rd owner and its pretty apparent the last guy didnt understand what maintenance was.
Got her home and her *** went up on the ramps and front on the jacks and she's still sitting there.
Changed Eng/Trans/Diff fluids right aways. Replaced the Knock sensors as well as the Oil pressure sensor. Plugs and wires looked original so out they went. Had play in 1 Ball joint and one Tie rod so I scrapped all of them as well as new bushings because I dont feel like aligning the thing again. Cleaned all the surface rust and recoated the arms...that was fun.
Then I just said F*ck it, New shock's, BMR Springs,lca's and adj panhard. Energy suspension SB links and bushings. Waiting on a few parts on the suspension now to wrap that all up.
Im fairly confident the clutch/flywheel has about 15k left on it tops so I snagged a LS7 setup for next to nothing. Trans feels to be in good shape after replacing the bushing, the B&M shifter was a decent surprise. Skip shift was the first thing I ordered for this thing after being forced into 4th as I was approaching the hill by my house that is right after a set of lights.... Cant deal with that every day.
It came with a set of Z06 Wheels on it, rears bald of course...but either way they were going to the ******* as they are just to damn small to be on these wheels to begin with. So Ive got some Eagle F1 SC sitting in the kitchen waiting for me to get around to them. Chrome is pretty much garbage, this cars got me busy enough maybe in the fall I'll have the chrome stripped and then powdercoat them black.
Got a 2 step, no lift shift that I ordered for my car when I thought the one I had failed but just lost its settings somehow. That should prolong the death of the clutch a little longer lol.
I dont race on a competition level, just like to go to the strip chill out smash some gears and not go to jail. Probably not going to mod the powertrain much this year. She dropped 6k on the car, I estimated about 1500 worth of work got about twice that into it right now although I did cover the other half because I hate looking like an ******* and or sleeping on the couch
