Back in the fold after too long
I'm the proud, one-owner of a 2002 Z28, and a former frequenter of CFFB meets (Central Florida F-Bodies). My car was often at Waterford Lakes and the Altamonte Springs Steak 'n' Shake, as well as the track at Bithlo on Wednesday and Saturday nights. If you're thinking "those were the days," we probably crossed paths at some point with a California Duster in one hand and a time slip in the other.
Although many other commitments have devoured my time for showing, shining and racing, I've kept the ol' girl running, and she's faithfully carried me on many adventures.
While I've kept her internals and running gear in top shape along the way, my little Z doesn't shine like she once did. The Florida sun and salt have left their marks, but I still love my ride!
I gave her a nice deep clean the other day, and once again realized the euphoria of an immaculately cleaned car. CFFB.net is long gone, but I've reignited my old username here and joined your ranks.
I grew up a fan of the classics: ground thumping-MOPARs and other cast-iron behemoths of the sixties and seventies. Never would I have guessed that a sleek and sexy generation of computer controlled, aluminum block pony cars would captivate me, but 4th gen F-bodies hold a special place in my heart.
Thanks for sharing your photos, videos and experiences! I look forward to taking part in the conversation!
