New From Canada Recently started building an 84 Monte Carlo SS, looking to do a 5.3 single turbo setup. Don't really know to much about the ls engines or turbos except i recently went for a ride in a single turbo 6L camaro and was blown away by the power so a friend recommended this forum to me!

Man, if I was looking for a new engine for my Monte (I/m not, not with my low miles) I would jump all over an LS1 engine. What a powerful ride that would be without breaking the bank. I have no idea if the original tranny could hold up but I'd sure explore it. Best of luck!
