Joined for LQ4 build
Hello Guys,Gals
Been on this form a lot looking up information getting ideas as I fix other peoples vehicles,But know I finally get to build my budget engine. So decided I would join and post my Plan and get your feedback
I have a 99 GMC sierra 2500 with a LQ4 and 4L80E 270,000 miles.
what I'm Planing is:
Take the engine out and Part the Truck.
bore 0.30 over
all new bearings
comp thumpr Cam
799 heads
Still looking at Pistons, since mine is a 99 I believe it has pressed fit pins so also thinking I will need new rods?
after this is installed Looking to get the Holley EFI-LS Hiram intake manifold
and next years budget possible turbo charge
Oh this engine is going to go in a BMW 325is E36 body Style there might be some issues with the Hi ram intake but I'll work around it.
