Hello All Hello, I joined the forum to ask questions about my current and future projects, to post pictures, and just plain love the LS series architecture! I was in high school when I started being interested in the LS and you can ask any of my friends that I think all cars are better with LS power! That was almost ten years ago! I am currently serving in the Army in Afghanistan on my third tour, most of the money I make goes right back into my projects! My daily driver is an 08 Escalade that I bought on a whim, more or less because it was black, My retired daily driver is an 04 Silverado SS that I bought on my first tour, after I finish my monster I want to lower compression, run e85 and turbo it as my ***** and gigs driver! Now my monster is a 79 Trans Am that I bought from a neighbor after basic training. I told him I would buy his car someday and he didn't believe me! I still keep in touch with him to show him the progress. All of my vehicles are black and share the same paint code just in case I have to paint one! I understood from the very begining that the LS platform from an engineering standpoint was superior to any other design available at the time and it continually is improving. Also KISS, keep it simple stupid, a pushrod motor is so simple to work on! I still don't know why a OHC or DOHC just does not make torque down, even given the same displacement? As was tested by the GM suits with the LT1 vs LT5.
