Another new guy from KY Hello all! So I got this bright idea to drop an LS engine into my mundane slow pig of a convertible (see sig). I started searching the web for expertise and landed here. Seems to be a wealth of knowledge here.
I grew up with the Chevy small block, having owned two 1968 Camaros and a 1968 Corvette, all with 327 engines, along with a couple of Chevy Pickup trucks with 350s.
I've grown (aged?) from loving Corvettes to loving BMWs, although I don't like the direction BMW has taken lately. So I figure, as my last hurrah, I should marry the engine I love with the car I love.
The swap is still a couple of years away. I have a daughter with a couple of years of college left, and a couple weddings might hinder progress, but I figured spending some time here will help me with the planning.
