Hello from DelaWhere?
Just joined to get some info/advice on my upcoming project of installing a LS2/T56 out of an '06 GTO into my '68 Camaro.
I have owned this thing coming up on 30 years now and it has been sitting dormant in my garage since '94. I have a homemade 302 with a TH400 in her now that is completely not what I want. It has the Z28 off-road cam with a power band of 4000-8000rpm and 12:1 compression.
I want to make power and be able to drive this thing spur of the moment. Right now it is a cantankerous beast and requires a whole lot of convincing to light up and go for a ride, so it sits... It has a whole 36mi on it since it was restored back in '91-92. I want to get some of my moneys worth of use out of it now... I think the LS2 will make this happen.
If you have a first gen Camaro and you've done a fit in the console OEM T56, I'm sure I'll be on your threads!
