After having to sell an early Z-28 that survived through two different divorces for a child custody battle I kinda gave up my love and passion as it seemed to leave with my 70 1/2 Z-28 and her new owner. Fast forward about 12-13 years. My oldest son must have known what it would take to build a real fire under my ***. He also knew whatever it was would have to top or at least equal that Camaro that I had spent countless 1000's of hours with. (and I'm not kidding) He was right. Another cool story later (true barn find), I was the proud owner of a 74 Stingray convertible Corvette at a Ford Escort price. Mind you, my 70 1/2 Z-28 was a numbers matching, 360 hp (stock), 350 with a Muncie Rock Crusher transmission and factory 3:73' posi. This new find had a 350 with a HP rating close to todays 4 cylinder economy car. So my son who's been here a spell has finally talked me into taking this beautiful greased pig to the next level. Time to LS this baby. An LS2 (if i can find one at a reasonable price) or an LQ4-LQ9 is in order, backed with a beefed 4L60e. I'm new to this, but used to teach GM's C.C.C. back in the day before most of you were even born...so I learn fast! Right now, I'm gathering up parts and have obtained the transmission, converted the Corvette 3 speed auto to a 4 speed auto, interior is nearly done and moving onto the engine and transmission. I am also HOPING a moderator can click the button and allow me to post a want list. I'm not at my 50 posts, and I hate to type. Give an old man a break! I'm needing a set of LS3 heads! My oldest son (sschoeffler) is building a twin turbo LS stroker and we're getting real close after finally getting the header issue taken care of. Really going to be a very symmetric, visually appealing bad *** engine that I still today tell him there is no way he can put that kind of power to the ground. The wait is almost over... we shall see!

Welcome. I understand. I had to sell my ground up restoration tuxedo black ls6 70 chevelle ss in 2009. I joined the ls ranks a little over a year ago due to my son. Quite ironic.
