LS2 E30 BMW from Seattle Hey there, name's Jerryn and I'm from Seattle. I'm currently in the process of swapping a cammed "ls2" into my 1989 BMW 325i coupe. Here's a little rundown of the engine and progress so far.
The bottom end is out of a G8 GT, LS3 heads and intake mani, TSP 235/239 112 Cam, DOD delete, dual springs/retainers/pushrods. Trans is a th400 full manual vb and I'm currently looking for a converter with a 4000ish stall. We're going to see how the stock 325i rear end holds up but if it doesn't, we'll probably throw an 8.8 back there. For exhaust, we're doing Sikky longtubes and then an electric cutout followed by as quiet of an exhaust as we can make. Car will have no exterior mods, except a 346ci badge and maybe a vanity plate with something clever on it. Trying to keep it very unsuspecting. Basically building this car just to be a fun little toy. It'll be primarily nice weather street driven with occasional trips to the strip.
So far we've ripped all the yucky bmw guts out of the car and are currently waiting until I can order the Sikky longtubes and oil pan so we can set the new heart in, take measurements and build mounts.
Once I get more posts and we make more progress I'll start a build thread in the Conversions and Hybrids section.
