Hello. Looking for help on my 2001 chevy hd 2500 6.0 5 speed. T case went out went to the junk yard got another 261 hd same as mine. The parts guy said it would work even though my had a R L on the paper on top of the t case the other one has a W D. The problem is it was tough getting it to go up tight to the tranny. So I used the bolts to get it to pull up tight. It sounded like it popped in the tranny as I was bolting it up. Got everything put together started the truck and let the clutch out and it sounded like the throw out bearing was riding on the clutch. And then I put it in gear to what would happen same noise. Now it is stuck in gear even when it is neutral.hopefully The tranny ain't messed up. Any help on this would great.
