LS Newbie
Hi guys and gals.
Just a 46-year old, lovable fuzzball electrical engineer here.
I've only recently come to the realization that an LS engine (L92 probably) is probably a better option for my '65 Impala convertible project car than the 496 BBC I had always envisioned. I've been tough to convince, but I'm getting there.
This amount of information I am getting from this site is amazing. Before this site, I knew next to nothing about LS engines. I have read posts for hours and hours each night before finally registering. I'm looking forward to learning more.

Sold off my 496 in my Chevelle for a turboed 5.3. Now I have to put small block springs to get the front back down.

And I think a LSx motor is just way more practical (and lower maintenance too).
The 6-speed compatibility is just the final straw.
I think I'm gonna put my BBC up for sale and start scouring the area for an L92/6L80 drop-in.
