new member from MI Hello, my name is Ryan and i am a new '01 WS6 owner from MI. Ive been lurking the forums since i started looking for an LS car at the begenning of the year, and since then have picked up a 2001 pewter WS6, 6mt, t-top car this Feburary. Ive still just been looking around and learning what I can.
So far i have added a magnaflow catback (bought off of zcardriver22 from the classifieds on this site), an SLP airbox lid, and a UMI short stick for my factory hurst shifter. love the car so far.
Previously i was in the 3800 V6 scene, had a 99 regal with a turbo running 21lbs on e85... built my own transmissions for it, did my own tuning.... it was fun. I just got tired of FWD and auto transmissions, and it became difficult to find trans parts that were strong enough to last without breaking/replacing every year. so naturally the modding stopped, and my time was spent repairing, so it was time for me to move on to a stronger platform for racing.
For my next mods, i was planning on getting the TSP 1 7/8 stainless headers, ORY, throwing a wideband in, and getting HP tuners to tune (my previous software was strictly for GM v6 applications). probably look into SFCs, panhard bar, driveshaft loop, etc in the near future too. hopefully this would get me deep into the 12s as i learn how to drive the car better
This car is my new toy, so i plan on continuously modding this car over time, so i am sure you will see more of me as i become more active. I have already learned alot about this platform from reading through these forums, so thanks again!
