GA new to ls1tech Been reading for a couple of years, there is lots of great info on this forum. I had a 63 Chevy II and currently have a 68 camaro. It has a good running stock 350. Toying with the idea of a ls swap or just doing the top end of my 350 for now. Still undecided.
Pros: Fuel injection, great flowing stock heads.
Cons: Not a budget friendly swap. After buying the motor/trans it would still be a couple of thousand for ECM, harness, headers, fuel delivery system. Cutting the trans tunnel to fit a 6 speed.

welcome to the site. find a wrecked car or truck to get your LS motor from. Even a van will work. Cars has usually better assesory stuff tho. If you were here in Iowa I could help you out. a friend of mine offered me a 2000 truck 80k miles 5.3 motor/4l60e wiring anything else $1400. Would have to take it out tho. Stuff/deals is out there but usually deal comes when donts have money.
