swapping in a LS I am doing a Renegrade Hybrid LS engine swap on my Porsche 914. Looking for info on a couple of things. 300hp is plenty, looking for all aluminum LS and an intake that comes out the top using the stock throttle body with a low clearance. to make it all fit under the cover and without having to cut the rear trunk. I was thinking a low mile L33, because I will have to change the intake anyway. truck intake is way to high.

just get a ls1 or ls6 car intake, injector set up complete with it. your injector wire connectors will be different as well. I have a L33 in 76 skylark it (motor) weighs 350lbs without intake on it and only steering pump & bracket on it. I wanted to know what the all aluminum motor weighed. good luck with project. (04-07L33 has vin code of B)

problem is with any stock ls intake, is that it will not fit in the engine compartment, you put it on backwards, and cut the rear trunk and run it out and back through. need a short intake comes out of the top and uses the stock throttle body. googled it and saw a picture but not sure if it is for carbs or for fi

do some more looking but custom is going to be costly. I don't know what room you have. Would it be possible to lower engine a bit for intake clearance? post some pics of engine bay. lowest height intake I know of stock ls car.
