Texas boy LS Fan Hi guys,
I am a Texan with an L59(the flex fuel LM7 but i never use E85) 04 Silverado 1500 5.3L is this an "LS" Motor? if not, i actually came here due to the knowledge related to the castech head issue but stayed to affiliate and network with people who like to tune.
Oh yeah forgot to post my first questions:
the GM Small block engines, im noticing (according to wikipedia) the GEN II 5.7L engine has a 3.90" bore while the 5.5L(GEN II) has a 4.00" bore, do they have differing strokes? are these considered square bores? and why is the bore smaller but with a higher displacement?
Im rather new to LS engines but im a big fan of them and the small block GM v8 in general.
