Hello from Oklahoma
Hello all,
I am newly registered to LS1Tech, as I now have an LS to play with, but have been reading the tech forums for ideas for a while.
My project is a v8 swap into a Porsche 944, so far I have the car (with original engine removed) and a couple of stacks of parts, including a nearly complete Gen III LM7 5.3 Iron block engine, with 862 heads, and a Gen IV LH6 aluminum short block which I intend to frankenstein together with an LS1 intake, CTS-V accessories, and either LS1 or LS3 cam and associated parts depending on cost and compatibility.
No doubt I will have plenty of questions for you as this progresses.

I'm in Tulsa, not an original Okie either, but I like it here.
I'm sticking with the standard 5-speed for now, with a tailshaft reinforcement plate added in. I'm also keeping an eye out for a 944 Turbo transmission (hopefully with the limited slip differential) for further down the road, but those tend to be pricey.
