Default New Guy and ready to learn!

Hey Everyone
I'm thinking of doing a 1955 to 1957 chevy truck build with a 2004 silverado 5.3 engine and trans. That I bought of a buddy of mine for a deal. I've been reading and searching on how to do this and thanks for all the information here! I"ve sold most of the Silverado parts I can, I'm think I should pull the engine and scrap the rest now. I'm curious on what parts I need to pull off. I know I need the wire harness, the gas pedal, engine of course.. lol, computer. Is there anything else I should be looking for to pull off. For example the gas tank and pump? or something I missed? I want to make sure I get everything I can to save some money...
Thanks
Joe

Im thinking of using the stock computer and rewiring it to start till I can find a 6L engine maybe..

Thanks for more things I should pull off. I"m going to go find the tach box? Is there any location where it usually is?
What did you mean electric connector if you want it for some style tank between frame rails?

im talking of the connectors on fuel pump and tank. cut and keep in place on tank. tach box is between master cylinder and left fender, 3 nuts hold on firewall. harness goes to gas pedal thru firewall. wiring is easiest working with engine on stand. leave it all plugged in on engine unravel it all. pull out the garbage wiring. move pcm if desired. on the injector power wires(pink) i eliminated some more wiring by putting all 4 injectors to 1 power on each side then have 2 wires at fuse junction. mine works ok so i know its fine. another thing Lt1Swap has you do is buy relays and fuse block. I found a 95-04 cavalier underhood fuse box works well especially if leaving under hood of project. i took it apart rewired fuses a bit. 1 row on key/crank hot other row battery power. then you have the relays for fans/ fuel pump. extra max fuses for heavy circuits later.
