Hi all! Been lurking for years, just bought a 2000 TA so I figured I'd join up
It's white, auto, T-top, and has 130,000 miles, and in fairly well kept condition. Seems as though the PO took good care of it except for fixing the expensive stuff. I bought it from the Chevy dealer I work at mid November for a good deal as it needed some work.
So far I've replaced a shift solenoid, replaced the steering rack, replaced the rear shocks, replaced the rear control arms and panhard bar with UMI pieces due to shot bushings, replaced a burnt low beam connector, and over the past 2 days I replaced the oil pan, front cover, and valve cover gaskets. I threw an SLP lid on it too since it was on sale and I figured why not, also grabbed a few little parts from a local junkyard.
There's still a few small things to take care of but nothing major. It'll get a new stereo soon and eventually get long tubes, full exhaust, and a tune down the road.
About me - I live in southern Idaho, I'm a through and through GM guy and went to school to become a GM tech, then turned parts guy, then turned parts manager. Cars are my obsession and my current fleet is;
This 2000 TA
1984 TA (awaiting LS swap)
2007 Cobalt SS/SC I bought brand new
1969 C10 with a hot 383 stroker (and a lot of other work)
1993 K2500 with a full 2005 LQ4/4L80E/NP261 swap
A couple pics -
