Hello from Kentucky!
Well as you can see i'm new here. I just recently left the diesel life i had an 06 duramax and absolutely stressed me out. While i'm here i guess i'll hit everyone up for advice. I've been searching and searching and there is seriously so much information about boosting these motors that i've confused the hell out of myself. That being said going from a 510hp duramax to a 270ishhp tahoe is also driving me nuts. So my goals are to have a 550-600 tahoe that surprises everyone. Also a little extra fuel mileage wouldn't hurt. I plan to do this by adding 80# injectors, 340lph pump, the cheapest turbo kit i can find (possibly ebay not afraid to upgrade later) and a 4l80e conversion. Also planning on an ls6 cam, PAC1218 springs, but who should i have tune my truck? Any input or links you guys can give me will be greatly appreciated. And how well does the stock front end and tcase hold up to 4wd launches? Thank you again for your time and God bless!

Welcome. I'm in Rineyville and have a few LS cars plus a Dmax. My wife is the Manager at Advance Auto Parts on Mulberry & Main. I work at Big M Chevy in the parts dept. Hit me up. I know a little bit about this stuff. Plus there's more info around here than you think about building big hp. We have Tooley right in Bardstown plus some wicked fast cars/trucks that you don't see hanging out at Walmart.

PS. As for tuning, James Short shortuning.com Only an hour away. Not sure if Phillip at Bluecat is back tuning yet.

I'm so glad I found you! I'm one of the guys hanging out at Walmart or peddlers mall, I wanna show them what's up! I feel so much more comfortable knowing I have someone right down the road. Thanks brother!
