Moving from DSM's to the LS Darkside

Hey guys. I am Justin from Manito Illinois. I just recently decided to change platforms. I have been a long time DSM'er. Decided to part ways with my 97 GSX and join the LS world. I picked up a 2001 Z28 auto roller for $400 4/4/16. Engine, trans, front clip, ecm, and seats are gone. Chassis is clean and straight. I am also picking up a 2000 Sierra 4x4 next Tuesday for $1000 to use as my 5.3 donor. With the DSM partout I'm hoping to have this thing back up and going fairly quickly. Basically your typical LS turbo build on a mild budget. I am not familiar with the LS or fbodys in general but I am about to learn and this is my everyday hobby. So any insight tips tricks or budget saving facts will be very helpful.

HPTuners
Budget turbo setup

The car is not a daily. And I don't have a deadline but I also will not halfass it to get it going.

just apply the same logic to the V8, add boost, it's a good time
