About time I registered
I have been on the site a long time but have never posted. I figured it was time to finally start participating.
A little background:
2011 Camaro that I finally got around to mod. I recently (last two months) installed a Jannetty Rough Idle Blower Cam and a Whipple (among the other supporting mods). I took a 10ish year hiatus on building/modifying motors but finally got back into it.
Anyway, got it tuned by Cunningham Motorsports in Murrieta, Ca and got 640RWHP on 91 Octane. Since tuning it about a month ago, I have datalogged it, checked plugs, everything is great (except for the vacuum leak that made it start running lean at WOT; found it, yet another $10,000 save because of a $300 AFR gauge).
Anyway, I look forward to getting into the mix, and eventually I want to be tuning the car on my own; carb cars were so easy, I know it is all the same fundamentals, just with a bit more math and tech.
If anyone has any tips on the best way to go about learning to tune, I am all ears. I have a couple of the FI mod books, but have not pulled the trigger on an EFI school or HPtuners or associated software.
Thanks Everyone!
