Hey all! I'm not sure where I'm supposed to post questions. Sorry. I'm doing an engine swap on my father in laws 2007 Silverado with the 5.3. The timing chain tensioner let go and you can guess what happened from there. Lol. I don't know much about these engines as I've always owned Fords. I purchased a 2004 5.3 from a wrecked Silverado. It has the cast iron block and the other one is aluminum. What problems will I run into? I have the new engine sat in and tranny bolted up. I noticed the cam position sensor plug is different. Also the truck doesn't have a knock sensor harmess that I see. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
