introduction to my mess. It said to add an introduction so here it is I have an 88 fire bird trans am I bought with 400k miles for 1k 5.0 t top auto. Tbi. Put it through the gears effectively every time I drove (I'm almost20) never messed up but you know how old cars are as soon as I tried to trade it it didn't want to show off and started knocking. Drove it home started tear down. Then while looking for a 350 i found an ls engine for $400 and that's the start of my problems. I have zero experience with these. Never riden in anything with an ls let alone seen one. And I got quickly humbled by this fact. Stuff that my 305 had which had about 280hp when it popped. Looks like alien spaceship parts on this. My buddy says every engine family is that different. Any and all help would be appreciated. Also I keep getting mixed reviews about the fact that its afm and dbw
