Should have put more info,I have a 67 chevelle with ls2 and 4l65e trans,2800 stall,took it for a test drive for first time last week,wouldn't start out in first,was starting in second,pulled it down manually and got in first twice but afterwards wouldnt drop back,also overdrive wasn't kicking in from beginning,was wondering if cleaning connector on trans may be problem,or where to start looking for problem

I once helped with a LQ9 Escalade turbo build. I made every single modification I thought the stock computer would need for a base tune all at once. We went for a test drive, and the motor ran great, but the trans was stuck in 2nd gear. I went back and started making only the most necessary changes one at a time, and everything worked great. To this day I have no clue what I did to **** the transmission in the first tuning effort, but it was 100% in the tune. This may not be your issue, but know that it is possible.
