Default New guy from Ontario Canada.

Hey guys, I'm new to the group and the gbody world. Recently picked up an '85 Cutlass Salon. It's going to be my daily driver so in the near future going to be doing an LS swap. Picking up an 08 Silverado 2500 tomorrow for the power plant. Has an LQ4 6.0L and a 6 speed trans. Probably wont be able to do the actual swap for a few months but got a really good deal on the truck so couldn't pass it up. Any info on whats going to be needed to stuff the 6.0 and 6 speed under the hood would be appreciated.

Hello neighbor, Grin

I hope you are able to get working on your new project soon.
I am curious. Did you find a wrecked truck or a good running truck for your donor truck?

I need one too. However, I want the 2014up LV3, 6L80e 2WD.

I guess the truck I got was a bit of both. It's the one in the picture above. I picked it up complete minus the driver side fender, rad support, hood and other front end parts. The person I purchased it from got it at auction to fix up another truck and ended up selling the rest whole. Bought everything for $2800. The truck has 110k, runs and drives. There is an engine light for MAF sensor, Air intake Temp sensor and evap system. The intake is all banged up and its been sitting for a while so hopefully wont be anything serious. Other than that it looks like it will be a pretty solid drivetrain. Getting pretty excited to get it in the cutlass but probably wont be happening until spring.
