Newcomer Just saying Hi; been reading through just about every thread here last 3-4 months.in preparation for my build. I have 81 elky 229 v6 no computer carb (UGH). I've picked up complete 99 silverado 4.8l/4l60e with evrything,
harness,comp, cruise module, rad. out of a running truck.
Am going to be starting this week or next pulling engine and trans out of camino. Already ordered intellitronics 6 gauge blue led dash cluster.
Have adapter plates, still need clamshells and hoping to keep A/C low mount without notching frame. Have deleted EGR in case I have to relocate A/C.
Question: Can I use my stock a/c controls and do ac delete in computer or am I better off keeping truck A/C intact and modifying truck hoses to fit my evaporator?
