Default New guy here

Not only am I a new guy here, but new to the LS world. I inherited a 1977 Pontiac Ventura, and bought a 2005 GMC with a 6.0 and 4L80E trans. I intend to marry the 2 soon, so looking for all the advice I can get. I do know thew motor is drive by wire, and I have what I think is everything to do the swap. I do have wiring questions and looking for best swap kit for this. Thanks all

welcome to site. I have a skylark cousin to your car. Wiring u can do yourself as Lt1Swap.com and u-tube info. The 4L80E u will have to redo tranny tunnel for sure. I have a 4L65E behind my 5.3 and its a tight fit but clears tunnel. Dbw so u use your gas pedal & tac box from truck. Tac box is between master cylinder and left fender. Cut up pedal to u get it where u want it. I used muscle car pan but don't recommend it. Holley or F-body be better choice. I used adaptor plates to sbc mounts but would go different if do another. Join LSX Nova on facebook as well. Another is 4th generation nova. Info city there
