Thumbs up New old tech

I'm an old retired aircraft tech and my goal is to turn my 54 150 chevy 2dr sedan with a warmed over 5.3L and 4l65e trans into a a sleeper. Sort of like what Smokey Yunic used to do to street cars.

I am in the parts gathering process, i have a set of 243 heads and new LS3 valve springs. the cam will be a BT stage 3 truck cam. When I remove the heads I'll know if I need to change the pistons. I would like to raise the compression to 10.5/1 and a 90mm T/B plus a GTO MAF and a new tune. Anyone have any suggestions or recomendations? I know the 243 heads are 64.45cc's and will need milled to get my target compression ratio.

You'd be better off posting those questions in the Gen III or Gen IV internal engine sections as they get more traffic.

You can dig around in there and the conversions/hybrids section and find a ton of good info.
