Excuse the newbee
Here we go… bought a 99 Z28 manual trans as a donor car for the 240sx. After driving this thing the son decided it might be a good daily driver. Really clean car, has the normal reverse gear issue but overall it works. Just put a Borla exhaust on it and looking at some new sneakers. I forgot how much fun these things can be on the street.
So my question is, what rear to put in this thing? It’s gonna be used as a driver to UNOH from Philly, 500 mile plus trip. The stock rear in it is a bit frustrating with no low speed snap. I would like to retain a bit of highway comfort, and have another T56 that is under rebuild right now. So, gearing in the rear or swap to something stronger? We need to retain that highway speed ( Law enforcement ignore this ) and have something under the car that’s gonna survive a 19 year old. And a couple of trips to Englishtown.
Thanks in advance for any/all advice on this. Mods can delete or move this post as needed.
