Default New Ls owner in Mi

Hey whats up everyone?

Finally pulled the trigger and bought an 02 camaro z28 with a ls1 in it.

It is not a show car by any means and needs help but the price was right and I am planning on turning it into a street/strip car that I can rag on and have fun.

This is my first v8 car and have been surfing through the forums here learning what I can.

I have picked up a set of texas speed long tubes, lowering springs, corvette wheels and slotted rotors.

Going to install all this weekend.

Next I will look for a camshaft package and try and squeeze some more power out of the stock ls before I tear it down for boost.

Post up if you guys have tips/tricks or things I should do to this car.

Thank you.

James

Welcome! I'm in the Fenton area myself. How many miles does it have?

There's the MI f-body club. I believe they're out of the Detroit area though. Not sure what's in Lansing. There's also a huge f-body meet in June at Bakers of Milford

Thanks for the info. I will have to check it out. The car is not a show car by any means but it will work for some racing and I wont feel bad if I have to cut it up.
