New guy from Indianapolis
Hello everyone my names Frank, 50yr old, married father of 2, USMC veteran.
I'm a A&P mechanic by trade currently building aircraft engines for a manufacturer here in Indy.
I have a non running 69 Firebird that I want to repower with something from the LS engine family so I come seeking any help and knowledge you guys can provide. Also looking to up grade steering, braking and suspension.
Looking to build a nice all around streetable ride that will still be competitive at the track.
Thanks in advance for any help, knowledge, and advice you guys can provide.

Welcome from Danville, IN. You might want to go to the NMCA/LSX Shoot out this coming weekend at Lucas Oil Raceway. There are quite a few vendors at this event that have products you could be interested in. There is also a large number of racers there that may have a similar combo to what you are wanting to build that could give you some ideas.

Welcome, fellow Indy resident.
Apart from going to the NMCA/LSX Shoot Out as mentioned above, you could also browse the Conversions and Hybrids section for a similar swap/build thread for some of your answers.
Resto-modding a '69 Firebird sounds like a very cool project - best of luck with it!
